New Job!

Last Sunday was beautiful so we went out on the parasail boat so Brian could train for his new summer job!

Ferris (owner) at the wheel, Brian and Eric .

Shannon has volunteered to go up. He was a bit nervous so he and I put down a couple Smirnoff Lights, wine coolers, beforehand to help him relax.

Shannon... going up...

Isn't that parachute so pretty!

I've never done this myself, but I'm sure I will before the summer is over. Just waiting for it to get warmer.

Shannon and Ferris chillin.

B's big turn at the wheel. He's actually flying a big bucket of water.

Myself, looking like a dork.

We went to Smax after for a beer and a fish sandwich. This is a great outdoor bar and grill on the dock where the sportfishing boats are.

Ahhhh, relief for Chrissy, Ferris's wife. She had to get off her feet! she is sitting on a bucket of fishing nets! Her little girl is due to come into this world in June. Fun stuff, summertime is around the corner!

Spring Move

April finds us back aboard Puff, bye-bye Angelsong... such a sweet little cottage,

Home, sweet, home... you can't beat that view with a stick.

Our backyard....

So beautiful.

Our neighbors...

Jack has made himself right at home back on the boat.

The Community Store is right next door. It is one of two of the small grocery stores on the island. Inside the Community Store on a Friday night, the local musicians gather for a little indoor porch pickin'. Village folk gather by the wood stove to enjoy the music. I'm in there buying some soymilk for Brian's breakfast cereal, they carry great vegetarian/vegan items.

The local talent sounds great. Some of Ocracoke's local musicians were featured in the movie, Nights in Rodanthe. Rodanthe is a ferry ride away on Hatteras Island. Brian and I got married there on the beach in October of 2005. I love this.

Windowsill Kitty

Nothing special, just thought my cat Jack in the window looked so peaceful and beautiful.

Warm sunshine...

Cool Breeze...

Twister Party!

This was actually late February or early March, I don't remember. It was such fun! Our friend, Riggs, had a dinner party and she busted out the game of Twister. Her idea of how to play was the best. Girls spin while the guys were on the Twister mat and vice versa. It was a hoot!

Isn't this the coolest bathroom!

Riggsie grinning

The guys trying to be cool about all this.

Scott falling on his ass

Brian, Jack, and Tony in a very compromising position.

Girls Turn! Riggs and I in a choreographed move.

Whoever had the camera liked the butt-shots.

It appears that Dee is falling on her head!

Jack and Riggs wrap up the night with a piano performance.
