Our Voyage From North Carolina to Florida

I'm just going to let the photos tell most of the story here...

Leaving Harkers Island, North Carolina On A Pretty Cold Day In November

My cozy nest inside the cabin of Puff keeps the chill away.

Brian enjoys a good book in the warm cabin after a long day on the water.
An idyllic harbor for our first night on the ICW.

Enjoying Thanksgiving dinner at Poogan's Porch in Charleston, SC.
Notice it's not too cold to eat outside.

Brian rows Charlie to shore for a bathroom break in the ICW.A clear cold morning finds us in Beaufort, SC.

The beautiful waterfront streets of Beaufort are lined with huge oaks dripping with Spanish moss and unbelievable historic, southern mansions.

A shady ally between the downtown, shoreside shops of Beaufort.

Puff's Christmas lights begin to shine in Hilton Head, SC. It's December!

Green Turtle Tavern in Fernandina Beach, FL serves warm bowls of chili and draft beer on a pretty day.

My friend Jen and I eating lunch at Caribou Cafe in Fernandina. We got cold and they offered us Snuggies to wear!

Brian had to get in on the Snuggie action, too.

Taking a break in a park near the St. Augustine, FL lighthouse.
Charlie up a tree chasing squirrels at the park.

St Augustine, Florida lighthouse pic Brian snapped as we sailed by.

Dingy landing in Lake Worth, West Palm, Florida.

Bridge of Lions in St. Augustine, Brian shot as we passed through.

Townfront, St. Augustine,

Another bathroom break!

So, that pretty much sums up our two and half weeks of 10 hour days motoring down the Intracoastal Waterway, better known as the ditch. The days are somewhat tedious, but we get to see a lot of pretty East Coast sites on the way.

The next post will be our continued cruising adventures in the Bahamas!!!!
