I Really Love My Life...

I must be doing something right if I can say that. I guess everybody has these days though. Sometimes I feel... euphoric, just thinking about the really cool story that is my life. Especially, when a page is really good like today. When everything that happens resonates like poetry. It's mostly about the feeling I get when I step back at look in at my life from an outside point of view. Today was nothing special, nothing special, believe me. In fact, I even went to work at my job where my entrepreneurial soul has some conflict with being just a boring cog in boring corporate wheel. Really, it wasn't what a I'd call a great day or anything. Just one of those days when I feel my heart overflowing with gratitude for my strange and singular way of life. Living on an island always does that to me. When we are cruising on our sailboat, I feel this daily. Today, the feeling was triggered by a couple of white hens, (as in chickens) crossing the road in front of my car on my lunch break. It reminded me of the goats and chickens that stop traffic on all of my beloved Caribbean islands. I felt so lucky to live in a place where chickens, (and ducks in the summer), can stop traffic. Not to mention, I was alone on the road, which is also normal here on Ocracoke. No other cars or people, just me and the chickens. How much I love that, I cannot tell you...

  1. And, this is why I love you! I feel the same way several times throughout the day most days. We are blessed.
